More horn and more boobs!

Ah, my friends!

You know this mini openly flirting with me for months.
I broke down, I took it, painted and even presented in the 1/6th Lugdunum Show 2014.

The particular point on this one is to be painted only with delible inks! Dive into the water and there it is all white!
I really enjoyed painting this miss, this is really what kind of figurines that I love.
Love it.

Thanks to my beloved lady for all looks and checks she gave on this mini! Love you Hummingbird
See you soon friends!

Some WIP'S

Hi friends! It's been a long time since I have'nt posted anything, but I have some problems with my studies. (In this case, with a good shotgun, it should be resolved.> <) I present the bulk result (the best photos would come later) my entry for the SAPO contest from Figone and my WIP on a beautiful bust from Kabuki models!
Enjoy!

Day 1: After careful preparation (not enough, I found lines casts unsuspected ...), here are the first set in color, and for once, this is REALLY full color ...

I only work with ink on this one, the mixtures are difficult (just the basic skin is a mixture of Sienna, Carmine and ocher, which is why you do not have to pictures along the way, I enjoyed working on a warm honey color to destroy this yucky pink (it's unclear on the first pictures), to adjust colors) , but I'm having like a beast ^ ^

Of course, because of inks, it's full NMM.

And it please me well. ^ ^

I'm testing new tricks ... What I enjoy ^ ^

Nota bene: NONE of the parts you see here is finished ^ ^ WIP'S PAWAAAA!

Cheers! ;)

Review and tricks : Special effects from Games Workshop™ [ENG/FR]

Hi everyone!
Salut tout le monde!

Today, we are going to test new colors "special effects" from GW and in... average english, if you please! ;)

Apparently, I am the first to do this type of test, whether on  Tutofig or on this blog.
Warning: I am not part of Games Workshop, and if these paintings have flaws, I will not bother me to say it... Rem's will also be a review of these colours, and I expect there will be nothing to see between our two test! ^^
I would use a test model, the quality is average, but it was really to test these new colors (for Agrellan Earth, I would use a more recent painting).
Firstly, the price of the colours is the same, and knowing GW, it's pretty weird. But hey, we will not complain!

The pots are still poorly made and fragile, hinges break easily, and dripping paint in the groove of the cap, making it difficult to close.. :(
Let see now, one by one:
Voyons maintenant peinture par peinture:

Nurgle's Rot: Not bad, even if the drying make rendering a bit random, and it's impossible to dye.

Typhus Corrosion: a very good painting, a cool textured rendering, very friendly to dry then with Ryza Rust, it is true that rendering is amplified (in metals only, the rest, does not rust ;)!) Typhus C. can also serve as mud, it gives a very good effect, you can varnish it to give an impression of wet mud if you wish.

Nihilakh Oxyde: very covering, carrefull; use sparingly. The "verdigris" effect is average. In total glaze, it may be fine however...

Blood for the god of blood: A great way to say it is fun to use, greater control than "Vitrail" colours, less versatility than Tamiya colours. Take care to your stroke, it takes a little practice to obtain a good result (as evidenced by this test)!

A word about Agrelan Earth: this is not yet the ultimate crackling colour or paste, but it's not bad. Still, not completely convinced, the major drawback is that it is difficult to paint cracks when dry and if you mix the paint Agrellan, it will not crack anymore!

Regardless, these colors are pretty good overall, if you want a complete collection of colors already sufficient, it is a good buy, otherwise it is not really worth wasting money. ^^

I hope this review will help you to choose carefully without give too much money to an eeeevil company!

Cheers fellows!

Tutorial and review: Colorex™ Inks

Hi everyone! Today a little tutorial on Colorex inks!

There are of course many translucent colors and metallic colors.

The pots are full and contain 45 ml of ink, which is much bigger than other marks of paint for a price roughly equivalent (roughly € 4, it depends on the dealer).

The main advantage of these inks is that they are not indelible, exept the three primary colors, metallic colors and black tricolor which are more resistant, although it is possible to strip. So you can work transitions once the ink dries and create very soft transitions between colors.

These inks are very useful for glazing, they create a uniform filter and dry well without creating halos (besides, you can always delete a halo if it ever created).

With a wet brush, you can remove the ink in places where you want to create the transition.

Metallic paints are fairly easy to use, in the same way as any other marks. The advantage is that the texture of the painting is similar to that of  ALCLAD 2 paintings, they dry quickly and are brighter than most other marks.

CAUTION: you must protect the inks once dry. And then it gets complicated. Touching your figure too, you will stain your fingers, you must reserve these inks figures show. The only way to protect effectively is to use matte varnish spray to avoid scaring the color below!

SO, let's recap:

+:

- not indelible inks
- bright metallics
- easy to work on, to create smooth transitions

-:

not indelible inks, hard to protect your mini against eeeeevil fingers

Well, we'll stop here for today, if you have any questions, do not hesitate!

Cheers.
